AAA rechargeable batteries

The AAA rechargeable batteries are those disposal batteries, which can be reused after recharging. AAA rechargeable batteries are commonly used in portable electronic devices. It is also classified as LR03 (IEC), 24A (ANSI/NEDA), R03, RX03, MN2400, AM4, UM4, HP16, and micro. As an AAA battery is composed of a single chamber, and for that reason, it may also be referred to as a cell.

An AAA rechargeable battery measures 44.5 mm in length as well as 10.5 mm in diameter, while Alkaline AAA batteries weigh around 11.5 gram each, and lithium AAAs weigh about 7.6 g, and rechargeable NiMH AAAs generally weigh 14-15 g. The nominal voltage of alkaline and lithium AAA rechargeable batteries is 1.5 V, while those of the NiMH or NiCd cells are 1.2 V. The capacity of the alkaline AAA rechargeable batteries is typically 900 to 1,155 mA·h, which ranges from 3240 to 4158 coulombs.

AAA rechargeable batteries are generally used in small electronic devices, such as TV remote controls, MP3-players or digital cameras. The devices, which require the same voltage, but at the same time have a higher current draw, are often designed to use larger batteries such as the AA battery category. While AA rechargeable batteries have about three times the capacity of AAA rechargeable batteries, but with the increasing efficiency and miniaturization of modern electronics, many devices, which were designed for AA batteries, applicable for remote controls, computer mice, and keyboards, are being replaced by models that accept such rechargeable batteries.
