2 February 2012: Apple no longer plays second fiddle to Microsoft Corporation with regard to the workplace market. The iPad has now become a tool that every corporate worker now uses as a standard business tool. iPad accessories are also being designed to match the competition. As many as 51 percent managers use the iPad in office. The iPad is particularly popular with those working in Financial Services or Pharmaceuticals.
As many as 79% iPad owners use the device outside the office. Its popularity can be gauged from the fact that it was most commonly sighted at this year’s Davos meet in Switzerland. According to Tom Mainelli, an analyst at Framingham, Massachusetts-based IDC, many companies having been testing the device for usage and have learnt the various ways it can be useful. There is likely to be a 50% surge for iPads and the accompanying iPad accessories in the education and the health sector.

Apple Invades Corporate Market With iPad
This will definitely make the iPad one of the most successful iPad options for businesses in the coming years. Since Companies have to go through a long phase of testing before they allow a device to get access to their own networks, it is easier to let the iPad access it than the many versions of Android tablets available from different makers.
Microsoft is still keen to have a firm grip on the office market and tablets that will have the new Windows 8 feature might just slow down things for Apple since Microsoft office is the most used application at the work place but there is no iPad version of Windows 8 yet.
Right now, the iPad and the iPad accessories climb for Apple seems to be effortless, and were they to go aggressive, there is no saying how far ahead they could surge.
