Bluetooth

Bluetooth is the wireless technology that is named after the 10th Century Danish King Harold Bluetooth. It is an incredible wireless protocol that is paving the way for cable free interconnectivity between various devices. Bluetooth was designed to allow low bandwidth wireless connections to easy use that flawlessly blends into your day to day life. Bluetooth are used in computers, cell phones, PDAs, Bluetooth Speakers, Transmitter for iPod/MP3 Players, Stereo Headphones and other handheld devices that can be connected using short-range radio-frequencies.

Bluetooth was founded by Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia and Toshiba, the group that christened itself the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group). Today there are more than 2,000 companies providing Bluetooth solutions globally. Basically Bluetooth uses a tiny microchip, which acts as a radio transmitter and receiver. The Bluetooth device works only with other devices up to 10 meters away. However it is possible, to enhance the range to 100 meters but that would also boost the power consumption.

The most astonishing factor about the Bluetooth is that it is so simple that even a non-techie can set it up easily. It doesn’t need any special configuration, the user can just turn on the Bluetooth and the devices will find one another and connect automatically. In the current market there are hundreds of devices available that use Bluetooth as a means of wireless connection to networking. Bluetooth allows users to be free from bagful of cables and wires. So if you want to get rid of the wires and are willing to pay for it, Bluetooth are the right choice to go for.
