Energizer Rechargeable Batteries – some FAQ’s

There have been a lot of queries and confusions in people’s minds regarding the capacity and limitations of the Energizer Rechargeable Batteries. Here we will try to go through some of them.

If it is necessary to charge the NiMH Rechargeable cells before their initial first time usage is a common question faced by the Energizer manufacturers and by the retailers selling these batteries. The answer to such a query would be a yes. These batteries need to be charged before a first time use. Energizer Rechargeable Batteries does not come fully charged in the box. However due to the fact that they are also not completely discharged, their initial charging time taken would be much lesser than what it would be later on.

The second question faced is that if these cells need to be completely drained before recharging, rather if they come with a memory. Energizer Rechargeable Batteries do not have issues with memory; a common issue with the older rechargeable cells with Nickel-Cadmium technology. These batteries are completely ready for a recharge after some hours of usage, or even at a convenient time of the end user. If the storing period has past a month, they should be completely recharged before we use them for optimized output.

What is the difference of Energizer Rechargeable Batteries from old rechargeable NiCd batteries? Well, both batteries are capable of recharging. However, the nickel-metal-hydride cells are built with more energy-density and are capable of proving almost four times effective in performance compared to the old rechargeable batteries like the nickel-cadmium cells after every recharge.
