It may be months yet before the news becomes official but it seems that Sega is developing a new Sonic game for the next Nintendo console the Wii U. In spirit the new Sonic Dimensions, the title for the new game, will be a successor to Sonic Colours but the visuals will be as good as those in Generations. The new game will also make use of many Wii accessories like the Wii U mini-tablets and also the Wii u remote and the touch screen.

Nintendo Wii U: Sega Developing A Brand New Sonic Game For Wii U Titled Sonic Dimensions?
Reportedly, in the new game, Sonic will split into many colours and each colour will have a unique personality and capability. The original Sonic will remain Blue. Red, Orange Green, Purple, and Yellow are the new personalities. While Red Sonic will open up newer areas after explosions, Purple will imitate Shadow and Silver and will be able to float and remove platforms. Orange will be like Big the Cat but even slower than Red except when it has been powered. The Yellow Sonic will be the fastest of these new colours. Only two colours can be played at a time but all can combine to form a Super Guide role. There is also a White Sonic that dies and appears but using it gives a low ranking.
Eggman will allegedly go out of control and split Sonic and all his friends and himself as well and a good Eggman split will become a Sonic Guide. Another new to the game will be the 2D feature. Wonder what kinds of Wii accessories this game will generate? In the meantime, we will have to just wait with baited breath to see what kind of game finally emerges form Sega and the Nintendo developers.
