The item is a steel "pen" with pocket clip and the special part of a shaped foam pad at the nib end. In use, the tip is very much more accurate than using a finger tip and has the added advantage that it doesn't leave finger-grease smears on the touchscreen. The stylus is 100% effective and is a real pleasure to use. I use it on my iPhone and have found it to work on my Sony e-reader, too. I cannot comment on how loan the foam end will last in constant use but I have no reason to believe it will be short-lived. All in all, a five star device!

I bought this Stylus because the Samsung mobile I had bought was difficult to operate with big fingers and the letters and numbers could not be selected accurately. The Griffin Touchscreen Stylus overcame the problem is every way. Delivery was speedy and the cost was very reasonable. Excellent product and company. PMF

I bought the Griffon Touchscreen Stylus as a last resort after finding that my fingers were not slim enough to operate the touchscreen on the Samsung Galaxy Europa I had just been sent as part of a new contract with my Mobile service supplier and when a local mobile shop informed me that I would not get one that would work with this particular phone. The delivery was brilliant, the cost reasonable and he Griffon worked just as I had hoped it would. I would recommend it to anyone who like myself has fingers bigger than pencil thickness and needs to operate a Samsung touchscreen.
